Topics include: Integrating improvisation into traditional repertoire, Using the score as a creative springboard, Modifying notated music with simple techniques, Adding patterns and short improv sections, Starting lessons with structured jam sessions, Teaching with clear creative limits (pentatonic, motives, phrasing), Free improvisation for all levels, Using visual prompts and media for inspiration, Improvising for dance, ballet, and film, Building collaborative listening skills, Creating simple harmonic frameworks, Fostering confidence and creative risk-taking
