Do Piano Inspires subscribers get an additional discount when enrolling in a course?
Subscribers receive 20% off enrollment in any full-length Frances Clark Center Teacher Education course. However, if other sales are currently active, only one discount code may be applied to any purchase. (Registrants may choose which code to apply.) Do you offer group subscriptions for your courses?
We currently offer a 30% discounted rate on any full-length course to groups of 5 or more members. Group leaders should email [email protected] with the number of members, and which course(s) they request for enrollment. A personal group discount code will be created for the group leader to share with their party. Each group member will be enrolled in their own copy of the course at the discounted price, rather than the entire group sharing one copy of the course.

Are Teacher Education courses a compilation of the webinars and videos produced by the Frances Clark Center? Is there any new material?
While our courses do contain valuable material from webinars and articles from our archives, substantial new material is also created that is specific to individual courses. This content is produced by the course creators and other qualified leaders in the field, and organized into objective-based sessions that promote comprehensive understanding.
-
Do the Teacher Education courses have live sessions at specific days/times?
Both facilitated and self-guided courses are completed at your own pace within the one-year time frame of course access. Meetings on specific days or times are not required.
Courses with Discussion Pods include live, virtual discussions at specific dates and times. Meeting times vary by course - visit your course dashboard for details and access links. These events are not available for replay. In addition to the Discussion Pods, session content is completed at your own pace within the one-year time frame of course access. -
How do assignments or other forms of instructor feedback work?
In facilitated courses such as The Beginner Course (Facilitated), assignments consist of a combination of automatically graded quizzes, and facilitated discussion forums that allow participants to engage with each other and the course instructor on course content and other relevant topics. There are no deadlines for completing these assignments beyond the one-year course access limit.
In self-guided courses (such as A Pianist’s Guide to Teaching Online), assignments consist of a combination of automatically graded quizzes, and self-guided reflection activities. In courses with Discussion Pods (such as Foundational Piano Pedagogy with Discussion Pods), assignments consist of a combination of automatically graded quizzes, self-guided reflection activities, and attendance of live, virtual Discussion Pods. During the Discussion Pods, participants are able to receive feedback from the host and guest contributors regarding content-related questions, in addition to idea-sharing with other participants. Discussion Pods are not graded in any manner. -
Within a course, do I have to progress through each session in order? Can I go back and review material from previous sessions?
Course sessions are unlocked progressively as content is viewed and completed. However, as you progress through the course, you may return to previous sessions at any time until access expires.
-
Will I receive a downloadable certificate after completing a course?
